Verify Perry County Supervision

Perry County parole and probation records can show whether a person left confinement under community supervision and which Kentucky agency now holds the case. A search must distinguish parole, probation, mandatory reentry supervision, and final discharge. To verify Perry County post-release supervision, compare the state corrections record with the current supervising office and any Parole Board action. A person may have a Perry County conviction yet report elsewhere. Likewise, leaving the jail roster does not prove parole or probation. The best answer comes from the status, supervision dates, location, and official order read together.

Perry County Parole Versus Probation

Parole and probation both permit a person to live in the community under rules, but they begin in different ways. Parole follows imprisonment and is granted or ordered under Kentucky law. Probation is imposed by a court instead of, or after suspension of, some confinement. Neither status means the sentence has vanished. Kentucky Department of Corrections staff administer community supervision, while the Kentucky Parole Board handles parole eligibility and Board action.

A KRRJ booking can end because of bond, dismissal, time served, a transfer, or a court order. None of those facts alone establishes supervision. A signed probation order is the durable source for court-ordered probation. For parole, the Board action and Kentucky Offender Online Lookup, known as KOOL, should agree. A current community-status heading and supervision begin date are stronger evidence than a projected or proposed date.

Mandatory reentry supervision is another state status. Under KRS 439.3406, qualifying people not granted discretionary parole may be released to supervision before projected completion. Kentucky treats that release as parole. It is not clemency or final discharge.

Parole
Supervised community release after incarceration.
Probation
A court-ordered community sentence with stated terms.
Discharge
The formal end of the sentence or supervision obligation.
Absconder
A person alleged to have stopped required contact with supervision.

Verify Perry County Post-Release Supervision

Begin with KOOL when state custody or KDOC supervision is possible. It is not a full archive of all KRRJ bookings. A person released locally on bond or after a short sentence may never appear. Search by the smallest reliable set of name details. A PID or DOC number is better when known. Open the detail record, since a result list does not show enough context.

  1. Match the name, aliases, physical details, and PID or DOC number.
  2. Read the status line for parole, probation, mandatory reentry supervision, active inmate, or an absconder marker.
  3. Check Supervision Begin Date, Supervision End Date, current location, and County of Supervision.
  4. Compare the office and county with the signed court or Parole Board order.
  5. Call the listed Probation and Parole office when the online entry is unclear.
  6. Request an official record when final discharge, not merely current status, must be proved.

Do not assume Perry County supervises every Perry conviction. District 11 covers several eastern Kentucky counties, and a person may move or report to a different office. KOOL data is entered and updated daily, but KDOC warns that newer information may not be finalized. Recent changes deserve direct confirmation.

Released is not discharged. Community parole, probation, or mandatory reentry supervision means confinement ended while legal supervision continues.

Perry County District 11 Office

Perry County has a local official route through the KDOC District 11 Hazard satellite. Staff may be able to clarify whether KOOL shows the current office or what public record can establish discharge. Privacy and operating rules may limit details. A narrow question about a public status field is more useful than a broad request for a case history.

Bring or state the correct identifiers. Ask whether the location and supervision county displayed in KOOL remain current. The Hazard office is a practical contact, not proof that every person convicted in Perry County reports there.

Perry County Absconder Status

KOOL can display “ABSCONDED” and supports searches by an abscond date. That marker signals an alleged supervision problem. It does not show final discharge, nor does it by itself prove a new conviction. A warrant, violation report, revocation hearing, or later court action may follow, but each is a separate event with its own record.

No distinct Perry County public absconder list was verified. Check KOOL first, then contact District 11 about the public status. If a court case is involved, the Perry County Circuit or District record can show filed orders and docket action. A return to custody may also appear through VINE, but a notification service does not replace the supervision record.

Conditions vary by order and person. Common high-level duties can include reporting, approved residence, treatment, fees, or limits on conduct, but no one set should be assumed from a public label. Obtain the actual order for the controlling terms. Note: An absconder marker is a current-status clue, not a complete account of the alleged violation or its outcome.

Perry County Parole Hearing Records

The Kentucky Parole Board schedule page publishes monthly schedules and updates them each Monday morning. The Board holds eligibility hearings weekly, with hearings beginning at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Schedule files list date, time, and location. Eligibility lists include an offender name, DOC number, location, and month of eligibility. A hearing may occur before the actual eligibility month.

The official schedule shown below helps identify a hearing event, not a release. A person listed for review has not necessarily been granted parole.

Perry County parole hearing schedule and eligibility records

The schedule must be paired with the later Board action, KOOL community status, or a formal release record before concluding that confinement ended.

Public observation may be available in person or by videoconference, while file reviews are not public observation events. Observation does not permit speaking. KOOL can show Hearing Date, Hearing Action, Months Deferred, Next Parole Eligibility Date, and Proposed Release Date. A proposal remains conditional. For a signed decision, use the Parole Board open-records route.

Perry County Supervision Discharge

Supervision ends through formal discharge, sentence expiration, or another lawful action. A Supervision End Date can help, but it should not be read alone when the record shows a later violation, revocation, or amended term. Ask for the official KDOC, Board, or court document that records the end of supervision. The source depends on how supervision began.

Kentucky public-record law, chiefly KRS 61.870 through 61.884, governs executive agency records and allows exemptions or redactions. Judicial files follow Kentucky Court of Justice procedures instead. For Perry probation, request the signed order and later termination or revocation orders from the proper court division. For parole, request the Board or KDOC record. The Perry County released-inmate search and release-record overview explains how KRRJ, court, and state records fit together.

Physical release and legal discharge may occur years apart. Build a timeline with the jail or prison exit, supervision begin date, major Board or court action, and supervision end. That sequence prevents a proposed release, an eligibility date, or an old location from being mistaken for the final event.

Use the correct channel for each part of that timeline. KDOC accepts open-records requests when an online status does not answer the discharge question. A Parole Board decision can be requested through the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet. Court probation records belong with the Perry County court clerk, not the executive-agency process. Ask for a named document and date range, such as the supervision discharge, Board action, or probation termination order. A focused request helps the custodian identify the controlling record without confusing release from confinement with release from supervision.

Perry County Reentry Contacts

KDOC publishes a Perry County community-resource manual with named local contacts. It can serve as a starting point for someone leaving custody or living under supervision. The document appears older, so every listing should be called and checked before a trip, referral, or plan depends on it.

A resource listing does not verify parole, probation, or release. Keep those tasks separate. KOOL and the supervising office establish the public supervision trail; the manual helps locate community services. A person planning transportation, identification, treatment, or other reentry needs should confirm current availability directly with the listed provider.

Perry County Supervision Location Details

The Hazard satellite is especially useful because conviction county, custody location, and supervision county can differ. KRRJ is a regional jail and may hold local detainees as well as some state inmates. A transfer from KRRJ to KDOC is not community release. Later, a state prisoner may enter parole or mandatory reentry supervision under an office outside Perry County.

Read the KOOL location field beside the status and dates. If it names another Probation and Parole office, contact that office rather than assuming Hazard retains the case. If the record still lists an institution, verify whether release processing has occurred. A proposed date or hearing result cannot substitute for a supervision-begin entry or actual release record.
